Local Profile – Jake Feller

Jake is one of our longest-serving members in the Rotary Club of Parry Sound. It was in 1973 that Jake became a Rotarian. Jake has held several positions with the club, including Sergeant-at-Arms. Jake was born in Torschau, Batchka, Yugoslavia, and later moved to Canada where he took up residence in Toronto and finally Parry Sound. Jake and his wife, Gretl, have one child, Heidi. Jake has traveled many places, including Germany, Austria, and Yugoslavia. Outside of Rotary, Jake has been involved in the community as a scoutmaster. Jake's former profession was as a barber. He gave his classification talk very early – in 1973. He has worked in Yugoslavia, Austria, Germany, and in Canada, in both Toronto and Parry Sound. Jake is now retired, and we are happy to have him as a member of the Rotary Club of Parry Sound.
